Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MirrorMuse AI mobile application (the “App”) and any related services we provide (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Astragrid Technologies Ltd, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom (“MirrorMuse”, “we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use MirrorMuse

You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 if you are in the European Economic Area) to use MirrorMuse. By using the Service you confirm you meet that minimum age and that you have the legal right to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us at support@mirrormuse.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree to provide accurate information when you register and to keep it up to date.

3. What MirrorMuse does (and what it doesn't)

MirrorMuse provides AI-generated beauty assistance, including selfie-based face analysis, makeup critique, Try-On previews, and look suggestions.

MirrorMuse is a beauty assistant, not a medical, dermatological, or psychological service. Outputs are opinions generated by AI and may be wrong, biased, or unsuitable. They are not:

• a substitute for advice from a qualified dermatologist, doctor, or licensed beauty professional;
• a diagnostic, medical, or therapeutic recommendation;
• a guarantee of any particular result.

Use your own judgment. If you have a medical, dermatological, or psychological concern about your appearance, consult a qualified professional.

4. Your content

“Your Content” means the selfies, photos, profile information, makeup preferences, saved looks, and other materials you upload or create using the Service.

You keep ownership of Your Content.

You grant MirrorMuse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, modify, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate the Service for you — for example, to send your selfie to our AI providers, to render Try-On previews, and to store your saved looks.

This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject only to short-term backup retention as described in the Privacy Policy.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models. We do not share Your Content with other users. We do not sell Your Content.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
• Upload content that depicts a person other than yourself without that person's consent.
• Upload content that is sexually explicit, hateful, harassing, violent, or that contains a minor in any sexualised context.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to develop a competing product.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach any security mechanism.
• Use any automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service.

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you breach these rules or if your use of the Service creates risk for us or other users.

6. Subscription and payment

6.1 Free tier

We offer a free tier with limited monthly usage of critique, Try-On, look generation, and face analysis. Free-tier limits are stated in the App and may change with reasonable notice.

6.2 Premium subscription

We offer a paid Premium subscription that removes free-tier limits. Premium is offered as:

• Monthly subscription — £12.99 per month, auto-renewing.
• Annual subscription — £99 per year, auto-renewing, with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers.

Prices may vary by region and are shown to you in your local currency at the point of purchase. Apple may also adjust prices in line with App Store policy.

6.3 Billing through Apple

All paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store using your Apple ID. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, at the price stated for the renewal.

Manage or cancel auto-renewal at any time from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. The Apple App Store does not refund partial periods; you keep Premium access until the period ends.

6.4 Free trial

If you start a 7-day free trial of the annual subscription, you will not be charged during the trial period. You can cancel any time before the last 24 hours of the trial to avoid being charged. After the trial, the subscription auto-renews at the annual price stated in the App.

6.5 Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store policy. Request refunds via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Where required by UK or EU consumer law, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal. By starting to use Premium features during the trial or paid period, you may forfeit your statutory withdrawal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK) or analogous EU rules.

7. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may:

• Update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
• Suspend the Service for maintenance.
• Change pricing, with at least 14 days' notice for active subscribers.

If we discontinue Premium altogether and you have unused paid time, we will pro-rate a refund through Apple where possible.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including the App, the underlying software, the brand, and our trademarks, is owned by Astragrid Technologies Ltd and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Beauty editorial content shown in the App (creators, videos, tutorials) may be subject to third-party rights. We surface that content under fair use / fair dealing principles for commentary and discovery only.

9. AI-generated content

AI critiques, Try-On previews, and look suggestions are generated by third-party AI models (Claude, gpt-image-2) on your input. Outputs:

• may not be accurate, complete, or current;
• may not match how the makeup actually appears on your face;
• may reflect biases in the training data of the underlying models.

You use AI outputs at your own risk. We do not warrant their accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose. Do not rely on AI outputs for medical, dermatological, safety-critical, or legal decisions.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
• Our total liability to you arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability, or (b) £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 where it applies.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astragrid Technologies Ltd from claims arising out of (a) Your Content, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, except to the extent caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.

12. Termination

You may stop using MirrorMuse at any time and may delete your account from Profile → Sign out → Delete my account, or by emailing support@mirrormuse.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your use of the Service creates risk for us or other users, or if the Service is being discontinued. Where the breach is curable and the situation is not urgent, we will give you reasonable notice.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) survive.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales, except that you may bring an action in the courts of your country of residence where required by applicable consumer law.

If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.

16. Apple-specific terms

If you obtained the App through the Apple App Store, the following also apply:

• These Terms are between you and Astragrid Technologies Ltd, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no further warranty obligation.
• Apple is not responsible for product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, or claims arising under consumer protection laws.
• Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and is entitled to enforce them.
