Delete your MirrorMuse account
MirrorMuse AI — Last updated: 14 June 2026
This page explains how to delete your MirrorMuse account, what data we erase, and what we are required to keep. MirrorMuse is operated by Astragrid Technologies Ltd, a company incorporated in the United Kingdom.
1. In-app deletion (fastest)
- Open the MirrorMuse app on your phone.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
- Tap Sign out.
- From the welcome screen, tap Delete my account and confirm.
Your account is queued for deletion immediately. You will be signed out and cannot sign back in to that account.
2. Deletion by email
If you can't access the app, email privacy@mirrormuse.ai with the subject line “Delete my account”.
Include the email address associated with your MirrorMuse account so we can locate it. We will verify the request and confirm deletion within 30 days, in line with UK GDPR Article 17 (right to erasure).
3. What is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently erase:
- Your account record (email address, account identifier, display name).
- Your beauty profile (skin tone, undertone, face shape, eye shape, and any optional fields you saved).
- All selfies and photos you uploaded or captured in-app.
- All Face Analysis results, Makeup Critique results, Try-On consultations, and visual previews stored under your account.
- Your saved looks and Library entries.
- Your in-app usage history (which features you used and when).
4. What we keep, and why
We are legally required to keep limited records, even after account deletion:
- Subscription and billing records — we keep the subscription product identifier, entitlement status, and renewal/expiry dates for up to 7 years after your last payment, to comply with UK accounting and tax laws (Companies Act 2006, HMRC record-keeping rules). We do not hold your payment card details — those are held by Apple or Google as your payment processor.
- Anonymous, aggregated analytics — aggregated counts (e.g. “number of looks generated this month”) which cannot be linked back to you.
- Backup snapshots — your data may persist in encrypted off-site backups for up to 30 days after deletion, after which it is overwritten in the normal backup rotation.
5. Deleting only part of your data
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove individual items:
- Individual selfies and saved looks — open the item in the Library tab and tap the delete icon.
- Profile fields — open the Profile tab and clear the field, then save.
- Bulk data deletion without closing your account — email privacy@mirrormuse.ai with the subject “Delete my data” and specify which categories. We will action this within 30 days.
6. Cancelling your subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Apple or Google subscription. To cancel:
- iOS: open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → MirrorMuse, then tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Google Play Store app → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → MirrorMuse, then tap Cancel subscription.
